Card Patterns sketch #160

Saturday and time for another Card Patterns sketch! I hope you can play along with us this week, check out the work of the rest of the DT here. This week we are sponsored by Prickley Pear stamps. Here’s the great sketch by Michelle:

And my card:

I die cut the focal panel from watercolour paper and stamped the Tulip Fairy with Versafine Onyx Black and clear embossed the image. Then it was coloured with Distress Inks smeared on my craft sheet and misted with Perfect Pearls and water (Dusty Concord, Scattered Straw, Bundled Sage, Pumice Stone). I used a watercolour pencil for the skin areas. The leaves were die cut from grungepaper, painted cream, coated with Glossy Accents and sprinkled with green glitter.

The background is a leftover piece of watercolour paper coloured with Distress Inks and water. It was stamped repeatedly with the sweet heart background stamp using Lavender Jenni Bowlin ink. The purple strip is Core’dinations paper which was embossed and sanded.

For the sentiment I die cut a tattered banner, inked it a bit and added a rub-on.

Thank you for looking!
