Sending warm wishes

A last card for the Hero Arts April challenge (sketch theme). I used one of the background papers I did the other evening playing around with dry embossing, wax crayon resist and watercolours:


The frame was embossed with Platinum powder and the tulips were inked with Rose Bud, Sweet Plum and Bamboo Leaves Memento ink, masking off one half of the stamp.

The background was made by dry embossing a piece of watercolour paper, rubbing it with a wax crayon and then paint it with watercolours. I wanted the middle panel of the sketch to be clear, so I embossed a piece of acetate and sandwiched it in between the two watercolour strips.
